Midgaard Studios is the internet pseudonym of one man with a vision and an ample supply of unrealized potential. George Kokoris has been chasing his dream of becoming a game designer ever since his fateful encounter with Bungie’s Gnop! on the Mac at the age of 7. Growing up in the untamed wilderness of upstate New York with a pack of dogs in lieu of siblings, George developed a vivid imagination that would one day give rise to the gaping, Faustian maw of divine inspiration. Unfortunately, some bonehead upstairs decided it would be funny to package this messianic power with a degree of self-motivation commonly associated with certain species of jellyfish.

Unable to find a compelling game design course after high school, George instead opted to major in cinematography at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, where he quickly became known as “That Guy Who’s Really Into Games”, “The Dude With The Xbox”, and occasionally “Why The Hell Are You Still Here?”. Fortunately, George’s visual education proved useful in the video game world, and his experience allowed him to join the industry before leaving SVA. He has a number of game projects in various stages of pre-production, and lives in perpetual anticipation of the day they are set free to turn the world’s children into soulless killing machines.

George currently resides in Brooklyn with his girlfriend and two cats.
